When purchasing rough opal there is often concern about colour, pattern and stability. What I am offering is some old Andamooka potch which would be suitable for beads, carving or beginner cutters. This material was mined over 40 years ago. At the time it was not considered of great value and used as backing for doublets. Some of it does have a little colour but I think the average size and cleanness of each piece should be considered. Pieces range in weight from 3 grams to 80 grams.
